General Terms & Conditions – Love Your Club Competition Rules & Regulations

 

  1. Greyhound Racing Ireland Executive, Management, staff, or immediate family members are not eligible to enter competition.

  2. Only one entry per participant is accepted. However, individuals may submit bespoke entries for the same team.

  3. An eligible entry shall be defined as one which contains a video post of no more than 1 minute long in which a qualifying team outlines the reasons as to why your club deserves to win.

  4. All entries must contain a searchable hashtag #LoveYourClub and must be set to public viewing.

  5. Entries should be made by way of a permanent post (not one which expires) on the social media channels outlined.

  6. Closing date for entries is 11.59pm on Friday 22nd March 2024.

  7. All winners will be selected after review by a Greyhound Racing Ireland competition committee. 

  8. If no entry is deemed to have met the requirements outlined, or no entry is received for one of the listed categories, a prize may not be awarded.

  9. The selection committee’s decision as to the winner is final. No correspondence relating to the draw will be accommodated.

10. All winners will be notified via social media platforms.

11. If the winner is not contactable within 72 hours of the draw, the winner is deemed to have forfeited the prize and another winner will be selected.

12. Once a winner has been notified, they have 15 days to arrange the presentation of their prize by a nominee of Greyhound Racing Ireland.

13. The prize includes a payment of €5,000 in respect of a jersey sponsorship with the name selected by Greyhound Racing Ireland.

14. There are two prizes available, one for a female team and one for a male team (both adult teams).

15. The competition is open to entries from the Republic of Ireland only.

16. Any sport or code featuring a team of 5 or more can apply and must be participating in an official league governed by the sport’s governing body.

17. The final artwork for the jersey will be provided by Greyhound Racing Ireland and signed off prior to going to production.

18. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other equivalent.

19. The prize is applicable to adult teams only – no underage team entries will be considered.

20. Greyhound Racing Ireland accept no responsibility for any technical difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to the competition.

21. Greyhound Racing Ireland reserve the right to share the winner(s) names(s), - to be used for publicity purposes and on social media and our website. No photograph will be taken without the prior consent of the winning entry.

22. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, errors, or the results of a competition the decision of Greyhound Racing Ireland will be final.

23. Entries that do not comply in full of these rules will be disqualified from entry.

24. Hashtag #LoveYourClub must be included in all entries. Competition posts must be set to public to allow Greyhound Racing Ireland to view.

25. Greyhound Racing Ireland is excluded from liability for any loss, damage or injury that might occur to the winner resulting from his or her acceptance of the prize.

26. Entrants are providing information to Greyhound Racing Ireland as owners of their social media page and not the social media platform.

27. Entrants must ensure that they are abiding by all the rules and laws applicable to the social media platform and their local jurisdiction. Greyhound Racing Ireland accepts no responsibility for any individual uploading inappropriate or illegal content.

28. The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated with Facebook©, Instagram© or any other social media platform.

29. Greyhound Racing Ireland reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. We may also create rules which apply to a specific draw or competition only. If this occurs, we will publish the amended draw/competition rules, or specific rules on the relevant page.
