BECKS OUT OF PUPPY DERBY

Carrick Becks has been withdrawn from the TIME Greyhound Nutrition Puppy Derby after picking up an injury in Saturday’s quarter finals.

The Champion Open Unraced winner has been purring around Shelbourne recently but it was clear something was amiss on Saturday when he was picked up after dictating the pace down the back straight.

Robert Gleeson confirmed the news on Tuesday suggesting it was nothing too serious but was enough to keep him off the track for 6 to 8 weeks. That also means he will likely miss the BOYLE Sports Irish Greyhound Derby.

Thankfully, he will be right as rain in the near future and will no doubt be making headlines later in the year and through 2027.
