There were plenty of really smart performances at Youghal Greyhound Stadium on Saturday morning.

Of course, the track has a habit of producing top-class greyhounds and there was plenty of good business done.

Which Exile (Laughil Blake-Trusted Exile) delivered a stunning performance when clocking an impressive 29.21 on a slow running Youghal track. A previous 29.02 winner on debut, the exciting August puppy made €5,400.

Burgess Buick (Droopys Buick-Madgies Wish) was another to impress as the May puppy scored, in 29.34. The well-bred youngster, a half-brother to Deerjet Sydney, was sold for €3,500.

A half-sister to Indesatchel, Shy Delight showed plenty of staying power when winning her trial in 29.55. Popular among bidders, the October puppy made €3,000.

Burgess Olly finished eight lengths behind the brilliant Ivanexile in 29.10 and the previous 29.50 trial winner fetched €2,950. A July puppy, he rates a decent prospect going forward.

A five-length second to Which Exile, September puppy Bruis Bliss was another to catch the eye. It was a really smart performance in defeat, and she made €2,100.

PERFORMANCE OF THE MORNING

The performance of the morning came from Ivanexile. He impressed on his debut, clocking 29.22. That form has really worked out as the second Slaneyside Harvy won the next time out and was later sold. Ivanexile clocked 29.10 in his sales trial, showing massive all-round pace on a slow running circuit. He was making €11,000, but with a reserve of €15,000, he was not sold.
