A wonderful night in Galway Greyhound Stadium on Saturday night with a terrific night of racing, topped off with the Final of the 2025 On Faya Galway Oaks, kindly sponsored by Peter Mulrooney and family.

Galway Greyhound Stadium is delighted to confirm that the Galway Oaks will return in 2025 with a new title sponsor, Peter Mulrooney, stepping in to support one of the highlights of the western racing calendar.
The event, now to be run as the On Faya Galway Oaks 525, will commence on Friday 5th September, with the Semi-Finals on Friday 12th September and the Grand Final taking place on Saturday 20th September.
Open to 24 bitches at €30 entry, the classic offers a winner’s prize of €10,000, ensuring it retains its reputation as one of the most sought-after titles in the sport.
James Murray, Racing Manager at Galway Greyhound Stadium, said, “The Galway Oaks is one of the cornerstone competitions on our calendar here in Galway Greyhound Stadium, and we are thrilled to have Peter on board as the new sponsor. His support will ensure the event continues to grow in prestige, and we look forward to seeing some of the best bitches in the country compete for the title this September.”
