“Strolls to GAIN Homes”

To promote the suitability of greyhounds as pets in Ireland a number of Greyhound Strolls/Walks will take place at the following locations during the month of August:

The “Strolls to GAIN Homes” campaign will afford members of the public the opportunity to meet and interact with greyhounds along each route and will also demonstrate to the public that greyhounds are no different from other domestic dogs and that they too make fantastic pets

Greyhounds are likely to encounter other breeds of dogs along the chosen routes and this will demonstrate that greyhounds are compatible with other breeds of dog

All greyhounds are welcome to attend the Strolls and there will be spot prizes for best turned out greyhound and runner-up at each location – kindly sponsored by GAIN Greyhound Nutrition

A few simple rules and reminders which need to be obeyed by all Owners/Handlers of greyhounds on the Strolls:

-          All greyhounds to be kept on leads

-          All Owners and Handlers are required to clean up after their greyhounds

-          All Owners and Handlers to bring drinks and bowls for greyhounds

Volunteers required on all walks to assist in the walking of greyhounds and the promotion of greyhounds as pets. Families welcome.
