ROBIN CAN FLY AGAIN AT KILKENNY

Were she a little older and perhaps a bit more experienced, Glengar Robin would surely have been making a Derby challenge.

But with just four races under her belt, the November ’24 whelp is instead set to shine again in the second round of the BOYLE Sports A3 Bitch 525 at Kilkenny.

Seven days ago, the Pat Buckley trained daughter oft Shima Shine gave notice that she was going to be a star in the future. After catching the eye on more than one occasion at Shelbourne in an ON1 sprint, she took to four bend racing like a jet plane to the skies.

In front from the opening strides, she bounded further and further clear in the manner of a bitch going right to the very top of her chosen profession. Tonight, expect more of the same from the Four Leaf Clover Syndicate owned youngster.

She races from six in the second of the three heats and is selected to again make every yard. Whether she will match last qweek’s28.63 return has yet to be seen but don’t be surprised if she goes even faster. Have no doubt she is destined for big things. Of her rivals, Droopys Honor is chosen to chase her home with Burgess Bonnie perhaps the best of the remainder.

CAN RUBY GET LOOSE?

The opening heat is an open affair.

Away Zoomey won in 29.04 last week and is clearly a big player again but a trap five draw is less than ideal. Annual Survivor is better housed in the stripes of six and must be respected after winning in 29.32 last week but so too is Tell On Ruby. The latter missed the start last week but earlier win in fine style over two bends at Shelbourne Park. If she can get loose into the turn, she could quickly emerge as the one to beat.

SAMI AND ROBYN TO DO BATTLE

Heat 3 is another fascinating contest Droopys Sami was best of the field last week when posting 29.05. She is on an upward curve and is likely to mount a bold bid again. The Other Robyn is drawn on the inside of Droopys Sami and that could make a big difference.
