Curraheen Park launches ‘Friends of Cork Greyhounds’
To promote greyhound welfare and rehoming, Curraheen Park Stadium have announced a new package of measures to raise public awareness on the suitability of retired racers as pets. Greyhound strolls will take place quarterly throughout Cork to introduce the Rebel County’s finest couch potatoes to the public. The next stroll will take on Saturday 9th September at 11am in Fitzgeralds park. All are welcome.
‘Meet and greet’ opportunities with retired greyhounds will be held at Curraheen Park on the last Saturday of each month as well as at all major fundraisers, communions and confirmation events. There is a meet and greet planned for Saturday 26th August. A new stand in the admission area of the stadium will contain information on greyhound rehoming opportunities, with a TV displaying photos of retired greyhounds.
