Family Fun in Cork

Greyhound racing is one of those rare occasions that all the family can enjoy together. And the fact that the races take place every twelve minutes or so means that children, in particular, have plenty to keep them interested.

It’s a great way to celebrate a First Communion or Confirmation in the family – not to mention birthdays, anniversaries or any other family occasion.

Mums and Dads can sit back and relax and enjoy a restaurant meal with drinks and betting service to the table, while the kids can enjoy special child-friendly restaurants menus at very reasonable prices. Or simply have a ball watching the action and enjoying a choice of food from our fast food outlets.

For an extra special memory of a great night out, contact us in advance and get a shout-out from the race commentator - or you can even have a race named after your family for a small fee! Family Visit to the Dogs

Curraheen Park Customer Reviews

“We went as a group of 16 ranging in age from 3 to 70 for a night out which Included a 4 course dinner. I had no idea what to expect so I was delighted with the overall night, nice food, helpful staff and a great family night out. The kids loved it and it was lovely to see everyone enjoy themselves. Well worth a visit!!”

“We recently visited for a birthday celebration. If you want something different then I would highly recommend. We went for the full sit-down meal in the restaurant option which includes entry to the track and table services for you bets. The food here is excellent with a great choice to suit all the 11 people in our party. A great night was had by all”

“Went here with my husband and two sons and also previously with a work night and must say enjoyed both nights equally. It has a reserved seating restaurant which has great food or if you just want to have something quick they have a fast food desk downstairs. Bets can be as small as €1 so the kids don't cost you a fortune to include in the choices of dog. They have a full bar and if you want to make a longer night, some dancing after the races”

“Enjoyed a great night at the dogs here. It's very good for a family outing as you can get takeaway food or if you feel like something more expensive, a lovely meal can be had also.”

“My daughter surprised us with a night at the dogs a new experience for us as we would never have gone by ourselves. The staff were great explaining to us how the betting system worked the food was lovely and very reasonably priced. I rate this a very enjoyable night and will be going again soon I hope.”

“Its great for a night out with friends or family - kids really enjoyed it. No need to spend big money on the races its all just good fun”

“This is a great venue to take the kids to as it is fully enclosed and you don't need to worry about them getting lost. you can either sit down for a meal or get food from the fast food counter down stairs. I advise getting there early if you have young kids as the seating area overlooking the track gets filled up quickly. All in all a very good night out”

“Curraheen greyhound track is a great night out. Went there with the family including aunt uncle, brother and parents and have to say was a top class night. Had the 4 course dinner in the restaurant with top class views of the track. Service was friendly, and the table side betting was great craic”
