TWO FINALS ON SHELBOURNE CARD

Ian Fortune

Once again, the Friday night fare at Shelbourne Park features plenty of sweepstake action including the finals of the Upcoming Suncroft Festival Puppy Oaks ON2/ON3 525 and the final of the Book Your Unofficial Trials Only A2 525.

There’s €2,500 on offer to the winner of the Unraced competition and Annadown Kisses will bid to make every inch from three. She looked a real pro for Gerry Dillon on debut, making all to win in 28.73 and a similar start would see her almost certainly dictating the pace again.

Ballinahow Hope displayed enough in defeat in her semi-final to suggest she can go faster than 28.91 and she is nominated as a danger, as is Sheer Heaven, who was just a short head behind Ballinahow Hope in the semis.

MAGURTY JUST GETS THE NOD

Yurty Magurty and Kristofferson were separated by just a single spot on the clock in the semi-finals of the A2 525 with the former going faster.

His reward for his efforts is an ideal draw on the fence and the Eddie Hurson trained son of Deerjet Sydney can take full advantage.

He is expected to go up strongly and can turn right on the pace. Kristofferson would be dangerous if getting loose. A natural starter, he tends to kick again from the third turn but will need to hold his advantage to this point. Of the remainder, Dundrum George has the pace to get involved if finding one of his better starts from a wide draw.
