ROBIN LOOKS A STAR IN KILKENNY’S BOYLESPORTS A3

Glengar Robin once again displayed her huge promise and ability to again set the standard in the second round of the BOYLE Sports A3 Bitch 525 at Kilkenny on Friday night.

It is no exaggeration to suggest that daughter of Shima Shine could emerge as one of the fastest in training in the coming months, such is her incredible potential. A brilliant winner in the opening round, posting 28.63 on a track rated .20 slow, she went every bit as fast on Friday, clocking 28.73 on a track rated .30 slow.

On this occasion, the Pat Buckley trained star was headed into the bend after a moderate start from the outside box but she moved through the gears down the back straight to assert before the third turn. Once doing so, she quickly shot clear to eventually win by nine and a half lengths. Droopys Honor came through for second with the early leader Miss Maytree finishing third.

Have no doubt, owners Pat Whelan, Dean Coleman and Sarah Buckley can start dreaming of big race glory in the future with Glengar Robin.

ANGIE LOOKS A PRO

Pomba Angie was a superb winner of the third heat, leading early to emerge a comfortable winner over The Other Robyn in 29.13.

Trained by David Flanagan for Matthew Derrick, the daughter of Ballymac Cooper and Distant Aoife was having just her fifth career start but she looked a pro as she shot from three to make all for a length and a half success.

ZOOMEY COMES THROUGH TO SCORE

Away Zoomey was a gallant winner of the opening heat, coming through to lead on the run in. Tell On Ruby flew to the turn and set a strong gallop only to tire badly.

She was headed off the final turn by the always-second Away Zoomey, who proceeded to ease on to win.

Trained by Murt Leahy for Alan Quinn, Away Zoomey went on to beat Annual Survivor by a length in 29.56.
