FINAL CALL FOR GALWAY OAKS AND SUPPORTING SWEEPSTAKE ENTRIES

Owners and trainers are reminded that entries close today at 5pm for a host of valuable competitions getting underway at Galway Greyhound Stadium this weekend.

The feature event is the 2026 On Faya Galway Oaks 525, with the On Faya Kennels once again generously sponsoring the prestigious competition. A superb €10,000 awaits the eventual winner of the 24-runner event, which gets underway on Friday, 17th July.

In addition, Friday's card will also feature the Jimmy Flaherty Memorial A2/A3 525, another attractive competition that carries a €3,500 winner's prize.

Attention then turns to Saturday, 18th July, when the opening round of the Martin Fahy Memorial A4/A5 525 gets underway. Offering €3,000 to the winner, it promises to be another fiercely contested event. Joining it on the card is the Horan Family Syndicate A6/A7 525, with a first prize of €1,200.

With competitions catering for a wide range of grades, there is something to suit everyone. Owners and trainers are encouraged to contact the racing office before the 5pm close of entries.
