TIME TO CATCH UP WITH TALKING DOGS MEETS

Ian Fortune

Over the past six months or more, we’ve had the chance to sit down with a number of people heavily involved in Irish greyhound racing.

The Talking Dogs Meets series has been very well received and if you haven’t checked them out, there is no better time to do so.

As the cold snap kicks in, forcing the postponement of a number of meetings at an already very quiet time of the year, many will find themselves with time on their hands. For that reason, there is no better time to check out some of the content available on-line.

Of course, the Greyhound Racing Ireland YouTube page is packed with highlights, features and great memories stretching back over a decade. These include a recent review of 2025 and the highlights of the track year. It can be checked out at the link: https://www.youtube.com/@GreyhoundRacingIreland

As for the Talking Dogs Meets series, thousands have already viewed the various interviews but if you have missed one or two they can be checked out at: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhIDozTrE5WcQqgbU7B1ahz1wr5Mdp7bl&si=cJzHm3ybLsMZGKfE

The link is for a playlist that includes each of the eight episodes thus far. It all began with Lynda Bonner in early May and was followed by chats with Noel Holland, Pat Dalton, Declan O’Donoghue, Ollie Bray, GJ McKenna and, in just the last month, Liam Cahill and Brendan Matthews were added.
