TIERMANA DREAM, trained by Colm Fitzgerald for owners the Zero Zero Syndicate, rates nap material in tonight’s ninth race at Curraheen Park.
The pacey performer impressed on Laurels final night when showing plenty of speed and power to win, in 17.51. That was a performance of the highest order and if returning to that sort of form, he should take the world beating. Things didn’t go to plan in a few recent runs around Shelbourne, however, he was showing plenty of pace and he can make the most of the drop in grade here.
Droopys Scampi, trained by John Linehan for Sean Dunphy, is next best. The two time runner has big runs around the standard trip and her early pace is always key to her success. A recent 17.60 spin around course and distance tells us she should be in the mix throughout.
In the fifth, John O’Sullivan’s Knockbroganexile is selected to make a winning sprinting debut. The June puppy qualified well and he displayed massive early speed when finishing third on debut. The drop in trip is a major plus and the bright prospect is one to watch in the coming weeks. A quick start is expected and the selection can make every yard of the running.
