TANK LAME AND OUT OF ENGLISH DERBY DECIDER

Word came through not long after 11am that the Paul Hennessy trained Lennies Tank was to be withdrawn from the Star Sports & Orchestrate English Greyhound Derby final.

After coming off a gallop lame this morning, connections were left with no choice and official notification of the withdrawal came through soon after. 

It comes as a real blow but connections are still hopeful they can have a big say in the final with Lennies Eddie, drawn in three, also representing the team. His absence means that trap six will be vacant in Saturday’s decider.

Hopefully, the injury isn’t serious and Lennies Tank will be back in action in the near future.
