TANK AND LOLA IMPRESS IN CASEY'S CARAVAN & CAMPING PARK UNRACED

The Casey's Caravan & Camping Park ON1 Unraced Stake always produces some nice sorts, and there were two superb semi-finals at Kilcohan Park on Saturday night.

Making full use of the inside line in the opening heat, Jacktavern Tank (Burgess Bucks-Quivers Magic) delivered a fantastic performance to win for trainer David Byrne and owners the Pillar Syndicate. The November puppy pulled right away on the back straight, and the bright prospect cruised to a wide-margin success, in 28.71. Nine and a half lengths back to Bregogue Allie.

It was all about Hillcrest Lola (Priceless Jet-Luna Rocket) in the second heat, winning for trainer Paul Hennessy and owner John Naughton. The 6-4 joint favourite showed up best early from trap five, and she sailed around the opening corners in front. Soon clear, it was all one-way traffic up front, as the promising youngster pulled right away to win in style. A 28.78 winning performance, with Eyeup Sam best of the rest in second.

***It's also worth mentioning that John Naughton and family enjoyed four winners over the weekend. It all started in Clonmel on Friday night with Hi Mac winning.
