Trainer Patrick Guilfoyle joins Barry Drake on this New Year’s Day episode of the podcast, following an exciting 2025 for the kennel.

Patrick takes us back to the start, getting the greyhound bug at a young age growing up around them and learning a strong work ethic from his parents. These days they are keen to pass on their experience and the Guilfoyle’s regularly welcome young greyhound enthusiasts into their kennels during their holidays to help them learn and hone their skills.

The duo chat through a magical 2025 which saw them achieve racing success up and down the country, topped off with Magical On Fire, the fastest Laurels champion, and most recently a Christmas Oaks winner.
