SETANTA CAN’T BE MOVED IN PLATE MARKET

It is no surprise to see Ballymac Setanta topping the betting for the Michael Fortune Memorial Derby Plate after a massive run on Saturday.
Already the ante-post favourite for the plate competition, he is now just 7-4 to land the €7,500 prize on September 12th.
Just behind him is his kennel companion Ballymac Deniro. Despite another tardy start, he came through to win in fine style and faces a slightly more favourable second round draw. As a result, he is just 5-2 for the competition.
With the two ‘Ballymac’ stars taking up so much of the market, it’s no surprise to see their nearest market rivals at double figures. Oriental King and Roaming Shelby are 10-1 with Swords Style on his own at 14-1. The full market can be seen below:
