SENSATIONAL RECORD-BREAKING RUN FROM KANE

Glengar Kane produced one of the greatest runs ever witnessed at Enniscorthy on Monday night when smashing the 525yd track record as he left a talented field standing on his way to a sensational victory in the final of the valuable Lord Unraced.

In victory, the Pat Buckley trained star maintained his unbeaten career, sending out a clear warning that he could be a real force in 2026. Seamount King actually set the pace in the early yards but Glengar Kane was perfectly positioned on the fence and forced his way past his rival on the turn.

It was little more than a procession thereafter with the son of Grangeview Ten and Mystical Luna powering into a clear lead by halfway. Seamount King continued to give chase but there was nothing he could do.

Glengar Kane was relentless up front and continued to pile on the pressure as they turned for home. Richard Colwell’s star proceeded to hit the line eight lengths clear in a scarcely believable 28.26. Seamount King was second with a further five length gap to Any Means in third.

It was a remarkable run from Glengar Kane and one that highlights his incredible talent. Not only did he break the track record, but he took a full eight spots off the previous best held by Cushie Concorde since April 2022.
