SCOTTS GLIDES AROUND TOWCESTER FOR CRONIN

Peter Cronin has a wonderful record in the English Derby and he will be looking to go deep again this year with his two-strong team of Sole Mio and Randolph Scotts.

Both ran up classics in their latest outing and both trialled well at Towcester yesterday afternoon with Randolph Scotts moving particularly well.

The duo trialled over the 270m sprint trip and Easter Cup runner-up Randolph Scotts posted a superb fastest of the session 15.68 in his first look at the track. Kirby Memorial second Sole Mio also ran well, clocking 15.92 despite running wide on the second turn. Given the latter’s inexperience, he can only improve.
