ROLO SET TO ROLL IN UP THE ROYALS STAKE AT DUNDALK

Ian Fortune

While all eyes will be on Shelbourne Park for the BOYLE Sports Irish Greyhound Derby final tonight, there is plenty to look forward to away from the capital, with Dundalk staging two cracking semi-finals of the Up The Royals A2/A3 525.

With €3,700 to the winner, there is plenty at stake. Rolo Pasha brings a perfect five-from-five record into the opening semi-final, each of which came at Dundalk. The John Scofieldowned youngster runner has the pace to dominate, although Ravenswood Cass and Wiffens Gold both have the experience to ensure he gets no easy passage.

TERRY APPEALS

The second semi-final has a slightly more open complexion, although Cullmac Terry immediately catches the eye.

He has posted 28.45 around Dundalk in the past and emerged a good winner of his second round assignment. Making all, he stopped the clock in 28.89 and if reproducing that form could prove very difficult to contain.

Sing Hallelujah is the elder statesman of the field and has plenty of good Dundalk form, including a 28.60 success, while Rozys Wild and Mandeville Pats have been knocking on the door in recent weeks. Coolemount Blaze, meanwhile, arrives off a narrow victory and will be finishing strongest.
