RCÉ 2025 Kennel Improvement Scheme Now Fully Subscribed

Rásaíocht Con Éireann (RCÉ) today announced that the 2025 Kennel Improvement Scheme is now fully subscribed and is officially closed to new applications.

The scheme, now its in its fourth year launched the 2025 application process earlier this year.  There has seen strong uptake from greyhound owners and trainers across the country, with the full allocation of available funding now committed. The initiative supports improvements in kennel infrastructure and facilities, reaffirming RCÉ’s commitment to the welfare of racing greyhounds and continuous enhancement of care standards.

“We are delighted with the response to this year’s scheme,” said Pat Meskell, Veterinary Director with RCÉ, “It’s encouraging to see so many participants investing in high-quality kennel facilities, which play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of greyhounds throughout their racing careers.”
