RALF DRAWS WHITE FOR SELECT STAKES

Ballymac Ralf will represent Ireland in the Select Stakes at Nottingham on Monday night and has drawn trap three as he bids to justify favouritism in the famous invitational.
The prestigious contest is worth an impressive stg£12,500 to the winner and Garry Dempsey will be hoping his charge can do things right at trap rise in what will be his final start for the Wexford handler before joining Romford handler, Paul Young.
Standing in his way are some big names including former UK Greyhound of the Year Wicky Ned, the hugely talented bitch Strike It Skye, Underground Gold and Romeo Tomcat. FortanachCol completes the line-up in something of a reunion as a former kennel companion to Ballymac Ralf.
Of course, he raced as Ballymac Tibet in Ireland and has won two Category 1’s since being purchased by Gary Armstrong. The talented son of Ballymac Best captured both the Three Steps To Victory at Sheffield and most recently, the Summer Stayers at Monmore. He may be a big price to land the Select Stakes but is in tremendous form and will be ideally suited by Nottingham.
