PLENTY OF SWEEPSTAKE ACTION IN DUBLIN

Ian Fortune

Tonight’s card at Shelbourne Park consists of ten races with all but the opener sweepstake action.

There are some nice types on show in the semi-finals of the A4 Dual Distance(550/575), the opening round of the Guys And Dolls A2 525 and the semis of an A2 525, but the undoubted feature is the final of the Shelbourne Park Museum A3 525.

SPORT LOOKS THE PART

Liberty Sporty was in a league of his own last week, dominating in a brilliant display.

Ned Lennon’s charge posted a rapid 28.39 and a repeat of that form would see him come home in front again. A trap five draw is concerning but a slick exit could see him quickly assert.

Of hi rivals, Walkabout Johnny can offer the greatest resistance. He did everything right last week in a 28.79 victory but may need to go even faster. Of the others, Dromdoit Rex gets the choice to finish best of the rest.

NAP AND NEXT BEST

Elsewhere on the card, Priceless Jose and Rolo Jasper are nominated as the Nap and Next best.

The action at HQ gets underway at 7.42pm.
