It’s with great sadness we must report the passing of a great friend of greyhound racing, Peter Tiernan.
A popular figure, he had countless friends in the sport and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
During a long training career, he took charge of some very talented greyhounds including the likes of Abbeyville Tipp and Black Bravado. The former was a top-class tracker and won the Championship 575 at the first ever Night of Stars, while he also captured the Champion Plate the following summer. Black Bravado was another star, winning over every trip from 525yds to 750yds for Peter. Of course, he trained many more stars in his wonderful time in the sport.
We would likely to take this opportunity to offer our sincerest condolences to his wife Janet, son and daughter David and Carol, his beloved grandchildren, extended family and many friends. May He Rest In Peace.
