PASHA A BRILLIANT ROYALS WINNER AT DUNDALK

John Scofield’s Rolo Pasha lit up Dundalk on Saturday night, emerging a wonderful winner of Up The Royals A2 525.

The signs were there that the daughter of Ballymac Cooper and Distant Aoife was ready to go quick and she certainly didn’t disappoint her supporters.

The Damian Maginn trained bitch broke much better than in the semi-finals and was in front from the opening yards. Perfectly housed on the fence, the November ’24 whelp increased her lad into the back straight and never saw a rival thereafter.

Ravenswood Cass turned second but was never going to worry Rolo Pasha. The latter may have won five of her six starts to this point in her career, but this was comfortably the most impressive.

Maintaining a powerful gallop to the line, she claimed the €3,700 winner’s purse by an ever-increasing four lengths in 28.41. Ravenswood Cass was second with Skelpers Rocket another two and a half lengths adrift in third.

DELAWARE OBLIGES

Earlier on the card Rita and John Downey were on the mark with Monleek Delaware as he emerged a good winner of the final of the Hannon Transport S0/S1 400.

A relatively lightly raced son of King Sheeran and Monleek Wichita, he was headed in the early yards by the fast-starting Beeswing but was right on the heels of the leader at the turn.

Nudging his way through on the fence around the two corners, he struck the front as they turned for home before easing on to win by two and a quarter lengths in 21.34.
