MONARCH SHORTEST OF THE DERBY QUARTER-FINAL FAVOURITES

Even after the betting has settled in recent days, there is only one odds-on chance in the quarter finals of the BOYLE Sports Irish Greyhound Derby.

The sponsors have introduced Bouncing Monarch the 1-2 favourite for land Heat 2, while Wi Can James and Waitingforastar are hovering around the even money mark for their respective heats.

Wi Can James is actually evens for the opening heat despite a tricky draw in five. Waitingforastar is a fraction bigger at 11-10 for the final heat. Hackney Dancer is the market leader in Heat 3 at 7-4. Prices for all four heats can be seen below.
