While the TIME Club final headlined Friday night’s card at Galway Greyhound Stadium, a notable personal milestone was achieved elsewhere on the programme as Declan McDonagh recorded his 100th career winner.
A prolific scorer around his home track, McDonagh is enjoying a rich vein of form at present, with the likes of Notsobadnow contributing significantly to his tally after completing a hat-trick of victories in recent weeks. On this occasion, however, it was Alva Chase who carried the responsibility of bringing up the landmark success, and she duly delivered in the concluding contest on the card.
Breaking smartly from trap five, the daughter of Jaytee Taylor and Luna Rocket quickly asserted her authority and held all the aces racing into the opening bend. From there, Alva Chase maintained her advantage to fend off the late challenge of Brickhill Como and score in 29.63. That success sealed McDonagh’s century of winners, with many more surely to follow as 2026 approaches.
