MARGARET DOHERTY

It’s with great sadness we must report the passing of a popular and well-known figure in Irish greyhound racing, Margaret Doherty, in recent days.

Margaret and her husband Decland have been running dogs at Shelbourne Park and Harold’s Cross for over fifty years, with their first runner at the former coming all the way back in 1971.

Those that knew her will remember her very fondly and she will be greatly missed. We would likely to take this opportunity to send on our sincerest condolences to her husband Declan, her children Ita, Fionnuala, Sara, Margie and Declan, her beloved grandchildren Kate, Jack, Daniel, Isabel, Frank, Kara and Oscar, sons-in-law Brian, Andy and Karl, daughter-in-law Aoife, brother Paddy, sister Mary, her extended family and many friends.

May She Rest In Peace
