Singalong Magic is chosen to atone for a shock second round defeat in her semi-final of the Kiltrea Kennels Open Unraced 525 at Enniscorthy this evening.
The daughter of Shima Shine and Newinn Liz is very highly thought of by connections and set the standard in the opening round of the John Doyle sponsored stake.
Clocking a rapid 28.87, she seemed to have the world at her feet. A tardy start and a first bend bump saw her suffered defeat last week but she is fully expected to step up on form and come home clear in the opening heat.
Standing in her way are some promising youngsters, most notably her kennel companion Barnfield Jack and the talented Ushers Matty, while each of the remaining trio have also shown ability, but Singalong Magic has the potential to b a star and is chosen to come home clear.
STATION TO GET LOOSE?
After lowering the colours of Singalong Magic last week, Timmytuffnuckles is greatly respected from an inside draw in the second heat.
He will need to be on his toes in the early yards as Sub Station can really move to the bend. The latter races from three and is the most likely pace-setter, although Ashwood Ozzy can also go up fast from four. Slight preference is for Sub Station over Timmytuffnuckles.
