MAGIC AND MARTY MAKE PUPPY CLASSIC FINAL FOR GUILFOYLE

Pat Guilfoyle will have two runners in next week’s final of the ARC Puppy Classic at Nottingham with both Magical Marty and Daleroad Magic finishing second in their respective semi-finals on Monday night.

MARTY A GOOD SECOND

Magical Marty was first into action, chasing home the impressive Annadown Shadow.

Although not the fastest into stride, Magical Marty powered into the bend to challenge for the lead only to steer a middle to wide path. Annadown Shadow would take advantage and led the field into the back straight.

Magical Marty pressed the leader into the third turn but Annadown Shadow was far the stronger, pulling right away from the final turn to eventually win by six and a half lengths in 29.32. Magical Marty was second.

MAGIC CHASES HOME MUSTANG

Scooby Mustang got first run in the second semi-final and proceeded to make every inch to stop the clock in 29.41.

Daleroad Magic missed the kick somewhat and was third into the turn where he found traffic. He displayed good balance to move second into the back straight but the leader had sailed clear. Daleroad Magic stuck on well to finish three and three quarter lengths away in second.
