LENNIES DESIRE (Signet Ace-Free From Desire), trained by Paul Hennessy for owner Lee Craze, went quickest on the clock in the opening round of the  €5,000 to the winner Deise Plastering Open 730 at Kilcohan Park on Saturday night.

Out the back early, the 2-1 shot started to make his move with a lap to go and he displayed huge pace and power on the final circuit. In front on the turns for home, the impressive winner pulled eight lengths clear of Jacktavern Beaut in a time of 40.72.

Kippers Lass (Malachi-Related Info), for Kieran O'Brien, was another to impress when clocking 40.96. Always in the mix up front, the 3-1 winner put on a strong finish to land the spoils. Blastoff Cooper kept on well for second, a length and a half back in second.

Blackstone Cola (Dromana Bucko-Blackstone Lacey) also dipped under the 41-second barrier when winning for trainer David Flanagan and owner Matthew Derrick. Six or seven lengths down with a lap to go, the strong running winner really hit top gear heading down the far side. In front before the final corner, Blackstone Cola came home nine lengths clear of Oaklands Coco, in 40.99.

Knockduff Diva (Pestana-Ballymac Orna) finished well to score for Aodhan and Patrick Doyle. Snazzy Jill cut out a lot of the running, but the lightly raced winner had all the answers in the closing stages. Finishing best, the impressive winner got the better of Snazzy Jill, by four lengths, in 41.28.
