KATHLEEN NOW FAVOURITE FOR EASTER CUP

Droopys Kathleen was brilliant in the opening round of the Shelbourne Park Bookmakers Easter Cup on Saturday night and BOYLE Sports were suitably impressed, promoting her to favourite for the classic.

Her 29.31 return was a reminder of just how good she is and she is now just 3-1 to win the Easter Cup.

Next in after finishing third on Saturday night is Lennies Tank. He lost his balance around the opening two bends but again gave the impression the extra yards into the turn over 550yds will really play to his strengths in the coming months. He remains at 5-1 for outright glory, just one point shorter than Droopys Faithful and Callaway Five on 6-1. Droopys Faithful was typically professional on Saturday and is clearly a big player in the competition, while Callaway Five produced a career best effort and is clearly in tremendous form at present.

There are four talented greyounds on the 12-1 mark, Miami Hyland, Hackney Mati, Coosane Pickles and Callaway Knegare with Ballyhooly Bruno, Miami Hans next in at 14-1. The full market can be seen below:
