After winning nine of the sixteen second round heats of the Star Sports/ TRC English Derby, no fewer than 22 Irish trained greyhounds remain in the classic ahead of Saturday’s third round.

The field has now been reduced to 48 with just under a half of the field representing these shores. It means that just twelve Irish trained greyhounds made their exit over the weekend.

For the record, none of the Irish runners have been subject to a seeding change ahead of the third round. Below we’ve highlighted some of the stats from the second round focusing on the Irish runners.
