HOLLAND HOPES FOR A LITTLE LUCK IN ENGLISH OAKS

Ian Fortune

Graham Holland will send out four of the remaining eighteen runners in the PGR English Oaks at Dunstall Park this evening but sadly, only three can possibly progress with two-to-qualify from each of the three semi-finals.

The reason for this is that Holland is responsible for three of the six competitors in the red-hot final heat. Ballydoyle Tina, Newinn Uganda and Bombay Special clash in this contest and won’t have things their own way with Slingshot Poppy and Dapper Daffy also very capable of going close.

Bombay Special will bid to go up fast in six and is a big player but the presence of the razor-sharp Slingshot Poppy could prevent her from setting the pace. Ballydoyle Tina and Newinn Uganda will absolutely fly from the second turn and hope to pick up the pieces. Slight preference is for Newinn Uganda but it really is a wide-open affair.

JESS LOOKS THE PART

Fahrenheit Jess will be warm order in Heat 2.

Blessed with superb early speed, the daughter of Swords Rex is chosen to make every inch to claim her place in the decider.
