After going fastest in both the opening and second rounds of the Bosco Gleeson Memorial A2/A3 525, the promising Pomba Angie is likely to make another bold bid in tonight’s opening semi-final at Newbridge.
The David Flanagan trained daughter of Ballymac Cooper is drawn in four but has the early speed to race prominently from the outset. Droopy Weaver is drawn on her immediate left in three and is a clear danger, while Priceless On Ice will finish fastest and could be in a position to take advantage if the fancied runners make any mistakes.
The second heat is a far more open affair. Jaytee Dallas was one of the standout performers in the opening round, only to find traffic last weekend. He again wears the red jacket but can make better use of it tonight.
He is selected ahead of second round scorers Changed Times and No More Hooshin, while Clashroe Ted will finish fast in a bid to make the frame.
