DEADLY LOOKS TO SERVE AN ACE AT KILKENNY IN TIME DECIDER

Once again, there is a big crowd expected through the stiles at Kilkenny this evening with the final of the TIME Greyhound Nutrition A3 525 the feature of a card that will also act as a fundraiser for Barrow Rangers GAA.

Karol Ramsbottom has had quite a stranglehold on the TIME Greyhound Nutrition A3 525 to this point, winning nine of the ten races in the stake. He will bid to make it ten from eleven this evening in the €4,700 to the winner decider.

Karol is doubly represented by Deadly Ace and Brocken Sober but things won’t be straightforward. Each of the remaining competitors are capable of going fast, although Fun Time Max and Triangle Musashi perhaps standing out as the main dangers.

Fun Time Max looked desperate to get off the fence last week but has shown plenty of pace in the past. From three, he is more than a bit part player. Triangle Musashi is well housed on the fence and is certain to finish at speed.

But ultimately, the Ramsbottom pair come into the race in the best form after winning their respective semi-finals. Bricken Sober is unbeaten in the stake and his clock have improved for each run. A trap five draw is perhaps not ideal but he has tremendous pace throughout and is greatly respected.

Instead, his kennel companion Deadly Ace is chosen to come home in front. He too remains unbeaten in the competition and seems to be improving with each outing. He has the early speed to race prominently and, should he turn in front, will be hard to pick up. Garry Hannon’s son of Signet Ace is selected to lead home Bricken Sober and Fun Time Max.

SPORT TO LAND HANLON MEMORIAL

The final of the Willie Hanlon Memorial A1 525 is the fifth race on the card and Ned Lennon’s Liberty Sport is selected to come out on top after a superb semi-final display.

The strong running son of Ballymac Cashout charged home to win his semi-final in style and from an ideal draw on the fence can again turn close enough to make his mark in the latter stages.

The David Flanagan trained pair of Tom John Deere and Mystical Ranger can emerge as the main dangers.
