BUSY TIMES AT KILKENNY

After last Friday’s hugely successful Official Opening of the new facilities at Kilkenny, focus now switches to the busy weeks ahead.
There are numerous sweepstakes coming up at the venue including the 1XBET A1/A2 525, which commences on Friday, June 5th. Entries are now invited. It is for 24 greyhounds with a €20 entry. Back-graders are permitted and it boasts a winner’s purse of €2,000.
A week later, the KGOBA A3 starts on Friday, June 12th. This sweep is for 24 greyhounds and offers a winner’s prize of €1,400.
This Friday’s card (May 29th) will act as a fundraiser for the Kilkenny & Carlow Coursing Clubs. Between races, there will be awards presented to the KGOBA 2025 Greyhounds of the Year, Owner of the Year, Trainers of the Year, while there will also be a new member of the Hall of Fame.
SALES ON SATURDAY
The next sales meeting at Kilkenny will go ahead as planned on Saturday, May 30th.
All greyhounds must be weighed in and kenneled between 7.30am and 8am. The opening trial is scheduled for 8.30am.
