BUCKLEY AND CHERRY TOWCESTER BOUND FOR PRODUCE STAKES

Pat Buckley has set his sights on Towcester with his talented tracker Singalong Cherry. Bred in the UK by her owner Gilbert Anderson the daughter of Ballymac Cashout and former Irish Derby runner-up Singalong Sally is qualified to take part in the BGBF Two-Year-Old Produce Stakes which gets underway on Sunday.

This year marks the 80^th renewal of the Category One competition but it is the first time it has been held at Towcester following the closure of Swindon last year.

Of course, Singalong Cherry has already proven herself a more than adept performer finishing third in the Puppy Oaks at Shelbourne Park earlier this year, while she also ran up the Champion Bitch at Thurles.

More recently, she was a superb winner in the opening round of the BOYLE Sports Irish Greyhound Derby. On current form, there is a chance she is a bit ahead oft her prospective challengers in the Produce Stakes and her ante-post price reflects this view. Singalong Cherry is a best-priced 9-4 to win the four-run competition.

She lines out in the opening heat of the classic on Sunday at 3.51pm and is expected to start a very short price to make a winning start to her challenge.
