UP IN STYLE LOOKS SPECIAL

Ian Fortune

It seems safe to suggest that Up In Style is ready for a move into top company after completing the most facile path through the RCÉ ON2/ON3 525 at Newbridge on Friday evening.

A member of the hugely talented Pestana/ Unlock Unlock litter, the Robert Gleeson trained starlet won the decider by an ever-widening nineteen lengths in a stunning 28.17.

To highlight the brilliance of the run, only two greyhounds have ever gone faster around Newbridge, the track record holder Droopys Curio and Up In Styles brilliant dam, Unlock Unlock. Her 28.17 return was only ten spots off the track record, which is made even more impressive when you consider she won’t be two years of age until January.

This is a contest easily described. Up In Style broke fastest, built up a clear lead into the turn and proceeded to pull right away from her rivals. Owners Alan and Pat Dobbs can start dreaming of glory with their youngster because she really does look a bit special. Remember the name.
