ENTRY OF GREYHOUNDS AT LICENSED STADIA – REGULATORY NOTICE

Entry of Greyhounds at Licensed Stadia – Regulatory Notice

Owners and Trainers are advised that further to a recent Irish Coursing Club Rule Amendment, entries from previously authorised Irish Coursing Club Agents, will not be accepted at Rásaíocht Con Éireann licensed Stadia.

Pursuant to Article 4 of the Greyhound Industry (Racing) Regulations 2007 – 2021, (Conditions of Entry) a greyhound may only be entered at a Rásaíocht Con Éireann licensed Stadium by the following persons:

  • - The Registered Owner of a greyhound
  • - A Member of a Registered Partnership that own a greyhound
  • - A Member of a Registered Syndicate  that own a greyhound
  • - A Rásaíocht Con Éireann licensed Public Trainer
  • - A Rásaíocht Con Éireann licensed Private Trainer

Pursuant to Article 5 (1) of the Greyhound Industry (Racing) (Amendment) Regulations, 2016, a greyhound must be available for inspection at the registered address if entered for a race of a trial at a Rásaíocht Con Éireann licensed Stadium. In circumstances where an entered greyhound is determined not to be present at the registered address, it will be immediately withdrawn from such trial or race in accordance with this racing regulation.
