ALL THE WAY FOR DARING BOWIE IN KILCOHAN PARK FEATURE

Barry Drake

DARING BOWIE (Ballymac Best-Libbys Pet) landed the feature race in Waterford on Saturday night, the final of the €1,800 to the winner Friends of Kilcohan Park & W.T.S.C A4/A5 Guys and Dolls stake.
Trained by Michael Meade for owners Peter Woods and Stephanie Maguire, the 2-1 market leader took control right from the start after showing a lovely touch of early speed. Once he slipped around in front, it was always going to take a big performance to run him down. In superb form in recent weeks, Daring Bowie was making it three straight wins as he stayed on well in front, winning in 29.14, two lengths clear of Downtownmooncoin in second. (A4).
BORN WARRIOR A3 575
Also on the card, there were two brilliant semi finals of the Born Warrior A3 575.

Quickest on the clock was Clarethecooper, for Andy Turner. Showing plenty of speed, the 5-2 shot enjoyed the step up in trip as he finished well to land the spoils, in 31.76, two lengths clear of Ballygur Bale in second.
Derek Kehoe's Slaneyside Roo delivered a fine front running display in the second semi final. Always in control up front, the 3-1 winner proved a length too strong for the running on Almighty Emma, in 31.84.
