STRONG LATE FINISH FROM DOUBT ME NOW IN KILCOHAN PARK

DOUBT ME NOW produced a strong finish to land the €1,250 to the winner Mooncoin & WTSC A4 stake in Waterford on Saturday night.

Trained by Eamon Mackey for owners the Popcorn-Heads-Syndicate, the 2-1 winner was near last at the opening corner, but he showed lovely back straight pace to move second as Baby Nuala was leading the way. In a fantastic battle on the home straight, it was Doubt Me Now who found that bit more to score, winning by the shortest of margins from Baby Nuala, in 29.18.

IMPROVING WINNER
In the €600 final of the RCETS App Non Winners A7, it was all about the improving Crack On Jack who scored with plenty to spare.

In midfield early on, the 5-2 shot took off on the back straight, showing plenty of speed to hit the front before the third turn. Pulling away in the closing stages, the September puppy ran on strongly to score, in 29.11, making it a career best performance in the decider.
