SUCCESFUL SALE AT CURRAHEEN PARK

Barry Drake

Curraheen Park played host to a very successful sale on Saturday morning.

The top lot was Aldworth Jaguar (Ballymac Best-Jers Joy) as the October puppy was sold for €5,800. A recent 29-second winner around Curraheen Park, the exciting young talent clocked 28.68 when winning on Saturday morning. It was a most impressive display from the bright prospect.

Kilbarry Meadows (Droopys Sydney-Kilbarry Sharpe) made €3,300. A two time winner around the Cork circuit, the September puppy had a previous best of 29-seconds, but after showing plenty of early speed and staying power in her trial, she went on to clock a superb 28.79, coming home with six lengths to spare over her nearest rival.

Her little sister Kilbarry Silk was another to score, stopping the clock in 29.02, she was sold for €2,100.

Rushmoor Syd (Droopys Sydney-Rushmoor Tess) finished powerfully to land the spoils, in 29.32. Only an April puppy, he was making was €2,500 on the bench and was later sold.

Kanturk Joke (No Joke Rebel-Edencurra Breeze) showed plenty of early speed, but the April puppy was narrowly denied by the fast finishing Rushmoor Syd. A neck the distance, in 29.32. A fine prospect, she was sold for €1,850.
