Tullig Raven (Droopys Sydney-Hail Cleopatra) delivered a sensational winning debut performance in Tralee on Friday night.

Trained by Pat Buckley for the Foots-In-The-Door Syndicate, it's hard to believe that any dog could equal a track record on debut, but the September puppy achieved that with an incredible 28.03 winning performance. Of course, Ballinabola Ed broke the track record recently, also clocking 28.03 for team Buckley.

A full brother to Tullig Cyrname who made it seven wins from career outings in the Lee Strand final back in late May, Tullig Cyrname has since clocked 28.06 in a trial around Shelbourne Park.

Pat Buckley recently spoke with Barry Drake on the Talking Dogs on Thursday Podcast and it was clear he thought the world of Tullig Raven - Stream episode Episode 92: Pat Buckley Talking Dogs on Thursday with Barry Drake by Talking Dogs on Thursday podcast | Listen online for free on SoundCloud

Back to the track record run, September puppy Tullig Raven produced a flying start from trap five and it was evident heading down the back straight that he was on for a huge run. Clear into the third corner, he maintained a relentless pace throughout, coming home with six and a half lengths clear of Clounamon Sydney, who himself ran a cracker. It was 16 lengths back to the third placed runner

All eyes will be on Tullig Cyrname and Tullig Raven next time out.
