Entries invited for the next sales at Kilkenny on Saturday, August 6th.

It is recommended that all greyhounds entered in the sales have an EU Passport with a Rabies vaccination certified on Pet Passport by a veterinary surgeon, administered by July 16th.

On the subject of the Kilkenny sales, it is interesting to note a couple of previous purchases have been in tremendous form of late. Leahs Turn was purchased at this year’s March sales for a very reasonable €900. The June ’20 whelp has since won races at Shelbourne Park in 28.49 and 28.50.

Budget Talk was purchased for €200 at the October 2021 sales and he has since won €3,000 in prizemoney. He has 28.96 on his card around Kilkenny and successfully stepped up in trip on Sunday evening to win the A2 Novice 725 worth €750 to the winner. It’s further proof that there is always a bargain to be found at the Kilkenny sales.

A final reminder to owners and trainers that the Boylesports A3/A4 Bitch 525 Sweepstake starts on Friday July, 22nd.

It’s for 48 bitches and has a hugely impressive winner’s purse of €5,000. The following Friday (July 29th) will see the start of the T.P. Weadick Open 725 and the Danny & Ellen Norton Memorial A2 525. Don’t hesitate to contact the racing office with your entries.
