SUNSHINE STARS AT KILKENNY

Walkinonsunshine may have only stopped the clock in 29.62 in the final of the Mickey O’Sullivan Memorial ON2 at Kilkenny on Friday night but he again displayed huge pace and promise as he overcame serious traffic on more than one occasion.

Con Guiney’s well bred son of Broadstrand Bono and Coolavanny Ella was a close second into the turn but had the door closed on him and was forced to check his stride before failing back to fourth. He again got racing into the third turn but was again left with no where to go.

Forced to wait until the run in, the June ’21 whelp stormed home to pick up Bogger Lucky for a length verdict. Given the ground he lost in the run, it’s fair to suggest Walkinonsunshine would have gone considerably faster with a clear passage and he seems set for a big future.
