JOHN BYRNE TOPS PRIVATE TRAINER LIST

With an impressive 52 winners, John Byrne was the top private trainer in 2022.

His talented bitch Courty Girl certainly aided his rise to the top of the list but it’s a great achievement to record that many winners from just 219 runners.

Just behind Byrne on the list was Nicholas Walsh with a half century of winners from 225 entries, while Paul Whyte (43), Kevin McClean (42) and Graham Kelly (42) came next.
