INJURY AT TRACKS SCHEME - UPDATED FEBRUARY 2022

INJURY AT TRACKS SCHEME - UPDATED FEBRUARY 2022

GRI

Rásaíocht Con Éireann / Greyhound Racing Ireland is delighted to announce that it is adapting requirements for availing of the Injury at Tracks Scheme.

Effective from February 14th, greyhounds that suffer a career ending injury and whom the owners wishes to avail of the scheme are no longer prevented from breeding thereafter. However, it remains a cornerstone of the scheme that greyhounds are no longer eligible to race, if availing of the scheme. Greyhounds that incur injuries at unofficial trials, official trials and races at GRI Licenced Stadia are eligible.

The level of funding available remains up to 75% of costs incurred, to a maximum of €1,000 upon submission of paid receipts.

Greyhound Racing Ireland reserve the right to review this scheme with a view to maintaining flexibility to meet the needs of the industry.
