All the team at Curraheen Park along with the Curraheen Park Supporters Club have done trojan work throughout 2023 and they held a great end-of-the-year night on Saturday that featured a couple of decent finals.

In the €1,000 to the winner Dintys Bar & Restaurant Union Hall ON2 Stake Final, it was Strike It Pizazz who delivered a fine front running display for Ryan McCarthy.

The daughter of Droopys Sydney and Droopys Matilda, a May youngster, exploded from traps and the 3-1 shot made every yard of the running to win in great style. A 29.79 winning display, four lengths clear of All Long.

Elegant Surfer put on a strong performance to win the €1,000 to the winner Pluckanes Magic 525 Stake Final.

Winning the all-important early lead, the 2-1 winner was in front throughout and the June youngster beat the running on Turbine Tilly, by three lengths, in 29.50. (A6).

Trained by Tom O'Neill for owners the Dusty Notes Syndicate, Ballydague Rebel recorded back to back wins to land the €1,000 to the winner Mary O'Sullivan Memorial A3 Stake.

Hitting the front soon after the opening turn, the even-money favourite showed bundles of pace up front. Such a strong running tracker, the June puppy put on a career best performance, clocking 29.04, .20 slow, on a tough running circuit. Topside Joyful was best of the rest, six and a half lengths back in second.
