TREATY NOW AS SHORT AS 16-1 FOR DERBY GLORY

Ian Fortune

After his brilliant display in capturing the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial at a packed Limerick on Friday evening, Clonbrien Treaty is now a 16-1 chance with Derby sponsors Boylesports to become the first to complete the impossible double.

Certainly, given his rapid rise up the ranks and his continued improvement he is deserving of a lofty position in the market. Only Coolavany Hoffa, the 12-1 favourite, is a shorter price that the Graham Holland trained son of Pestana.

Joining him on the 16-1 mark are Ballymac Marino, Ballinabola Ed and Clona Duke. It’s then 20-1 Ryhope Beach, Callaway Pro Am, Swords Rex and Droopys Got It.
